  1. Hi ladies, I didn't read it. Couldn't get into it. Plus, I had checked it out from the library and it came due before I got past chapter 2. No renewal allowed as it was on hold. I'm sure it would have been illuminating seeing as how I work for a hedge fund in the financial world!? Yes, I am a round peg in a square hole here. I look forward to y'alls comments and illuminations.

  2. Ok Alli, since you started it...I didn't read either! It still hasn't come in from the library either. I really want to though! I hear it's a great read.

  3. I did read it! I am pretty ignorant about a lot of financial terms, so I didn't fully understand the details. But I felt like I got the big picture. Basically, some really smart people put aside ethics in favor of their own profit, and made everything so complicated that no one else could understand what was going on, and those who were making decisions didn't bother to read the fine print to regulate what was going on. (Okay, really bad synopsis!) Anyway, it made me feel a little helpless about my financial future, that a few unethical people can ruin it for the rest of us, who are investing our money, and planning on it growing into our retirement. It also motivated me to be more educated and informed, and not assume that others are really working for my best good.
